RULES FOR COURSE PLAY
. You must follow the
rules and regulations of the course. If we receive a call about you,
you will receive a warning. The next time you will be banned from
LGTA..
. Please use golf etiquette. Please repair all divots on fairways and on the green.
. You must putt out. You can not just pick up the ball and count the stroke if it is close. There is no gimmies.
. If there is a rough
spot on the course where grass is all around but just messed up in that
spot then you may find a little grassy spot. Also we do not want you
hitting from spots that can break a club like rocks or roots. You may
drop the ball in another spot be in a straight line behind that spot.
. If its in the hazard
you cannot move the ball or mess with the hazard area to get a better
shot. You must play it as it lays.
. If it is up against a
fence, behind a tree, a big rock ,in the bushes, or up against or in
something, you cannot move it from there. You must either hit it from
there or take a drop.
. You must
play out of the bunkers unless there is standing water in the bunker. At that time you can drop it out of the bunker but the bunker must
remain in play. This means that you still must hit over the bunker.
. If it goes in the water you must drop it where it first crossed the water and take a stroke.
. If it is hit out of
bounds you can drop it where it went in and you must take a stroke. However, during tournament play if it is white stakes then you have to
go back and retake your shot from your original spot.
. There is no mulligans. Every shot counts as a stroke.
. For those of you who do not know...if you take a drop you lose a
stroke. Meaning if you tee off and it goes in the water, you take your
drop and you are now hitting 3 instead of 2. Also you cannot ground
your club in the bunkers. The club must stay off of the sand until you
are coming down fro your back swing to hit the ball.
.
If you cheat you are only cheating yourself. If you get caught you
will be terminated and no money will be refunded to you. Remember,
everyone is a potential LGTA member.
