ELIGIBILITY  FOR LEAGUE AND TOURNAMENTS

   .
If you are an amateur and you are planning on playing in any official amateur events held by other associations, then you can only accept gift cards valued at no more than $750. So even though the prize money may be greater, if you receive cash period or a gift card valued at more than $750 you will be considered a pro player at that time according to USGA and you will lose your amateur status. If you do not plan on playing in any major amateur events or events held by PGA or USGA then you do not have to worry about it. So if you are planning on keeping your amateur status please let us know when you fill out the contact form and also send an email to your Division rep letting them know.

   .
You must fill out the contact form completely and pay your fees before starting the league. Go to the Sign up Sheet page to find this information.

Either before you play your round or after your round is played that day, make sure you get the scorecard signed and dated from the pro shop. This must be in pen!!

   .
You must either send an email (listing your name, what league and Division you are in, date, time, driving distance and course played) to your Division rep or a sign up form sheet each time you play your round that you want to count for the league. This must be done prior to your round being played or it will not count.

.   When you are done playing each round please email your scores to your Division rep. You can just send an email with your name, league you are in, Division, course played, date and time, and the scores for each hole and your total score.   Or you can scan your card and email it. You must send this information in within 2 days after your round or your round will not count.

.   Every player must keep their receipts that shows that they paid for each round and has the time and date on it.   And do not forget to get the person at the register for that day to sign your scorecard.

.   Keep track of all your scorecards and receipts until you have finished all your rounds. When you are finished put them in an envelope and send them to your Division rep. All rounds must be completed before the end of the Division year and all scorecards must be turned in within two weeks after.   Their info will be listed on the Division info and activity page in the box for the Division courses.

   .
Once you turn in all your scorecards with the receipts they will be verified by your Division rep and matched up with the emails you sent in saying you are playing that day. More details explained in league rules.

                             RULES FOR COURSE PLAY

   .
You must follow the rules and regulations of the course. If we receive a call about you, you will receive a warning. The next time you will be banned from LGTA.

.   Please use golf etiquette on the golf course. Please repair all divots on the fairways and on the greens.

.   You must putt out. You can not just pick up the ball and count the stroke if it is close. There is no gimmies.

   .
If there is a rough spot on the course where grass is all around but just messed up in that spot then you may find a little grassy spot. Also we do not want you hitting from spots that can break a club like rocks or roots. You may drop the ball in another spot be in a straight line behind that spot.

   .
If it is in the hazard you can't move the ball or mess with the hazard area to get a better shot. You must play it as it lays.

   .
If it is up against a fence, behind a tree, a big rock ,in the bushes, or up against or in something, you cannot move it from there. You must either hit it from there or take a drop.

.
You must play out of the bunkers unless there is standing water in the bunker. At that time you can drop it out of the bunker but the bunker must remain in play. This means that you still must hit over the bunker.

   .
If it goes in the water you must drop it where it first crossed the water and take a stroke.

   .
If it is hit out of bounds you can drop it where it went in and you must take a stroke. However, during tournament play if it is white stakes then you have to go back and retake your shot from your original spot.

   .
There is no mulligans. Every shot counts as a stroke.

  .
For those of you who do not know...if you take a drop you lose a stroke.   Meaning if you tee off and it goes in the water, you take your drop and you are now hitting 3 instead of 2. Also you cannot ground your club in the bunkers.   The club must stay off of the sand until you are coming down from your back swing to hit the ball.

.
If you cheat you are only cheating yourself. If you get caught you will be terminated and no money will be refunded to you. Remember, everyone is a potential LGTA member.
